Rhinoplasty post op care: I’ve continued to receive many posts regarding post Rhinoplasty swelling and care. Here are some basic tips to remember if you’re considering a Rhinoplasty.
1. Your nose will swell and swell unevenly for at least 3-4 months and will not stop swelling differently from day to day for 6-12 months. hence, the need, in my opinion, for daily nasal manipulations.
2. You MUST avoid physical contact to your nose for the first few months after your Rhinoplasty. Nasal bones are typically set at 1 month but cartilage can crack and break if your nose is hit with sufficient force.
3. If you have concerns, questions or suffer a hit to your nose….be sure to see the plastic and cosmetic surgeon that did your Rhinoplasty. Things happen, you don’t need to be ashamed that you had an accident BUT it’s better to avoid one in the first place.
I’m going back to my family and my vacation. Peace and happiness to all.
