World’s Best Cheek and Chin Implants.

Dr Francis Palmer, voted one of the “World’s Best” plastic and cosmetic surgeons has performed many Cheek and Chin Implant surgeries in Beverly Hills over the past 25 years.  Dr Palmer uses his expertise, in Cheek and Chin Augmentation, to answer questions on the subject.

Cheek and Chin Implant Question:

I’m looking to have Cheek and Chin Implants to make my face more attractive.  Does it matter who I go to?   Isn’t all it the same surgery no matter what plastic surgeon I select?

Dr Francis Palmer’s Answer:

Sadly, no.  While I can understand why patients might think that all plastic surgery treatments and procedures are performed the same no matter what plastic surgeon performs them but that couldn’t be farther from the truth.  The main reason to select a particular plastic and cosmetic surgeon should be based upon their ability to understand and follow the proper aesthetics of beauty as outlined in my book on the subject “What’s Your Number The Palmer Code” where the aesthetic features responsible for making a face appear naturally attractive are discussed.

I have performed many Cheek and Chin Augmentations, over the past 25 years and to make the face more naturally attractive using implants or fillers requires a thorough knowledge of the proper aesthetics of facial beauty as outlined in my book on the subject.  Experience placing Cheek Implants or Chin Implants is simply not enough.  The aesthetic reality is that there is an ideal beauty standard for cheeks and chins and these differ significantly between men and women.  So, if a male shaped cheek  or chin implant is placed in a woman the result will not be a naturally more youthful and attractive face but something else entirely.

This means that the plastic and cosmetic surgeon you choose for your cheek or chin implant surgery must have all of the following characteristics:

  1. 1.    A thorough understanding of the proper aesthetics of facial beauty for the creation of a naturally more attractive face as well as how this differs between men and women.
  2. 2.    Experience placing the proper size, shape and thickness (projection) of cheek and chin implants in both men and women.
  3. 3.    Knowledge of the best surgical approach for cheek and chin placement.
  4. 4.    Understanding of the key methods of implant stabilization and post op care.
